Translating Arabic images into Korean

Most Arabic text people need translated never arrives as text. It is Gulf marketplace listings, shop and road signage, government forms, menus and supplier product labels — pixels, not characters, so there is nothing to select and nothing to paste into a translator.

Arabic reads right to left in a cursive script where every letter changes shape depending on its position in the word, and short vowels are usually left unwritten. PicTranslate reads it straight off the image, translates it into Korean, and redraws the result in place, so the layout you were looking at is the layout you get back.

What Arabic → Korean translation has to get right

  • ▸Connected letterforms: each letter has up to four shapes depending on whether it starts, sits inside, ends or stands alone, and OCR built for isolated glyphs misreads them constantly.
  • ▸Diacritics are omitted in everyday text, so one consonant skeleton can be several words and only context separates them.
  • ▸Eastern Arabic numerals (٠١٢٣٤) are a separate set of digits and have to be converted, which matters on prices, dates and invoices.
  • ▸Spacing carries meaning in Korean: the same letters split differently are different words, so word breaks are not cosmetic.
  • ▸Speech level has to match the context — the register used in a webtoon's dialogue is not the one used on a product label.
  • ▸Length is close between Arabic and Korean, so the layout survives mostly intact — the work is in matching weight and alignment rather than re-fitting the text.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is Arabic to Korean image translation?+

PicTranslate runs on top-tier LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5) combined with Arabic OCR and Korean context modelling, producing industry-leading accuracy — even on complex layouts and domain-specific terminology.

Does the translated image keep the original layout?+

Yes. The AI detects the Arabic text's position, font and background, then redraws the Korean translation in place — the output image is nearly identical in layout to the original.

What kinds of images does this work for?+

Arabic e-commerce listings, manga panels, technical documents, mobile screenshots, menus and signs — any image containing Arabic text can be translated into Korean.

How long does Arabic → Korean translation take?+

Typically 3-5 seconds per image. Complex layouts or large files may take a little longer. Batch mode processes up to 20 images in parallel.
