Translating Korean images into Arabic

Most Korean text people need translated never arrives as text. It is webtoon and manhwa episodes, cosmetics packaging, K-commerce listings and café menus — pixels, not characters, so there is nothing to select and nothing to paste into a translator.

Korean is written in hangul, whose letters stack into square syllable blocks, and unlike its neighbours it does put spaces between words. PicTranslate reads it straight off the image, translates it into Arabic, and redraws the result in place, so the layout you were looking at is the layout you get back.

What Korean → Arabic translation has to get right

  • ▸Syllable blocks pack two to four letters into one square, and visually similar components are the most common source of OCR errors.
  • ▸Older and formal text mixes in hanja — Chinese characters used for Korean words — which has to be read as Korean, not as Chinese.
  • ▸Right-to-left flow means lines, columns and table cells have to be re-anchored to the opposite edge, not simply overwritten in place.
  • ▸Letters must re-join correctly after the text is redrawn; rendering the isolated forms in sequence produces something no reader will accept.
  • ▸Length is close between Korean and Arabic, so the layout survives mostly intact — the work is in matching weight and alignment rather than re-fitting the text.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is Korean to Arabic image translation?+

PicTranslate runs on top-tier LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5) combined with Korean OCR and Arabic context modelling, producing industry-leading accuracy — even on complex layouts and domain-specific terminology.

Does the translated image keep the original layout?+

Yes. The AI detects the Korean text's position, font and background, then redraws the Arabic translation in place — the output image is nearly identical in layout to the original.

What kinds of images does this work for?+

Korean e-commerce listings, manga panels, technical documents, mobile screenshots, menus and signs — any image containing Korean text can be translated into Arabic.

How long does Korean → Arabic translation take?+

Typically 3-5 seconds per image. Complex layouts or large files may take a little longer. Batch mode processes up to 20 images in parallel.
